Sunday School
We have Sunday school for all ages, and we adapted the classes to meet the needs of those who attend these classes. Currently, we have classes for Children, Youth, Young Adult Couples, and Adults. Sunday school is perhaps the best-structured agency in the local church for effectively carrying out the teaching ministry of Christ.
Each class regardless of age is working their way through the Bible learning about Jesus, becoming a follower of Jesus, and how to share Him with others.
Sunday school starts at 9 am for all classes.
Children and Youth Ministries
Here at DeBerry Baptist Church, we have programs for both our youth and children. Our next-generation ministry is led by Bobby and Brandy Murray. Our focus is to prepare our next generation to Learn, Love, and Live like Jesus.
Our Sunday School and Wednesday night programs focus on teaching our children the biblical worldview, love and worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and live each and every day more like Jesus. We introduce our children to the principles of being a disciple of Jesus Christ.
In our youth program, we dive deeper into scripture, preparing our youth to be able to defend their faith and share the Gospel with others.
Adult Discipleship Groups
Discipleship is the heartbeat of DeBerry and there are two opportunities to gather with a medium-sized group weekly. The group meets on Sunday Nights at 5 pm where Pastor Jeremy leads a versus by versus town hall-style of teaching through a book of the Bible. Currently, we are in 1 Corinthians.
Then on Wednesday Nights we meet at 6 pm for a family fellowship meal and split into different d-life groups at 6:30 pm where currently we are using the d-life journal book 3 which walks through the Old Testament. These groups allow each person to grow personally in their walk with Jesus and each person is encouraged to participate in the discussion. Jesus called us to make disciples in Matthew 28:19-20.
If you wish to dive deeper into the discipleship life, we offer 316 groups that are made of 3-4 people who spend at least one year together studying God’s word and doing life with each other. We are learning to live and love like Jesus.
